Man fears the inner beast, giving into the hungers, the rage, the baser elements of our animal selves. Religions teach us to tame and discipline this creature. Academia teaches us to let reason rule. Yet, when the moon is full sometimes we cannot help but howl at it. Legends say that there are some who have no choice. The beast has won and even a mild-mannered man may be taken over by the beast to rage and to K*ll. It’s a tragic tale, but one that we must witness. It is a warning, perhaps the finest, if not the first, at the dangers of not getting to know the wild animal that lurks within.
