🎃👻 Culpeper County Parks & Recreation's Moonlight Halloween Candy Hunt & Costume Contest 👻🎃
Ages 2–12 are invited to join us for a FREE spook-tacular night of candy, costumes, and fun!
📝 Important: Please register each child who will participate (yes, all 3 if you’ve got 3!). This helps the Great Pumpkin bring enough candy for everyone. Make sure each child’s profile has an email AND text number so we can share any last-minute updates.

🕰 Event Schedule
When: Friday, October 24
Where: Culpeper Sports Complex, 16358 Competition Drive, Culpeper
** Remember to use our Main Entrance off Jonas Road - avoid Cyclone Way.
5:30 PM – Gates open! Community Partners, games, activities & pumpkin scavenger hunt begin (don’t forget your candy-hunting sack!)
6:00 PM – Adaptive Field lineup
6:30 PM – Ages 2–3 & 4–5 lineup
7:30 PM – Ages 6–8 & 9–12 lineup
8:00 PM – Candy counted, costumes admired, and time to head home! 🎃
💡💡💡💡Once lined up, each group will be escorted onto their field by staff & volunteers before the candy hunt begins.
🎃 Golden Pumpkin Challenge
Every field will have a Golden Pumpkin or two! Find one and win a special prize from the CCPR tent! 🏆
👗 Costume Contest
Strike a pose! Costume contest entries will be posted on Facebook using hashtags released the week of the event. Winners can pick up prizes at the Culpeper County Fieldhouse.
📸 Halloween Photo Spot
Stop by our outdoor photo area near the Concessions Stand. Bring your own camera and capture those spooky memories!
🧡 Don’t forget to visit the Parks & Rec tent for your Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt sheet—complete it and earn a prize!
⚠️ Friendly Reminders
If kids want to hunt together, they’ll need to "age up" to the older group. (Example: a 5-year-old and a 9-year-old will both hunt on the 9–12 field.)
This is a FREE community event.
