The Crescent Arts Centre Vaudeville Camp has created another original vaudeville production called "The Moonlight Express" and centers around the history of the train that used to take Winnipeggers to Winnipeg Beach where they could ride the world's biggest wooden rollercoaster - or the carousel and other rides along the boardwalk. The parents would inevitably end up in the huge Dance Hall that featured all the finest dance music from the jazz age with the finest Winnipeg musicians.
The ride to and from the beach was an adventure in itself and it is rumored that all sorts of shenanigans happened on the train - especially on the return trip - which is at night - in the dark - after a night of wild dancing.
Join the Crescent Arts Centre Vaudevillians for a nostalgic trip down memory lane to the halcyon days of "The Moonlight Express"
Admission by donation at the door. No advance tickets.
