MoonCats have been keeping the fun alive in North Dakota’s music scene for all ages since 2018. Aftercountless shows and several tours across the region and country, this tuned-in trio prides itself on
singalong originals and the occasional cover. Now based out of Pick City, North Dakota, the band has
performed in twelve states, and was invited to play at the Blue Ox Music Festival in Eau Claire,
Wisconsin in 2024. They also competed in Colorado’s 2024 RockyGrass Music Festival Band
Competition, and secured 3rd place at Arizona’s Desert Bluegrass Music Festival Band Competition in
2025. Their self-titled debut MoonCats (2018), Hot Tea (2021), and Clowder (2024) are all
self-produced full-length albums recorded in North Dakota. The band continues to release new music
online, available on all major streaming platforms. With a rich mix of songwriting and instrumentation,
MoonCats captivate audiences with every song. Recently, after successfully fundraising their goal of
$29K through a Kickstarter campaign, the band is set to release their fourth album “Animal Style” in
2025. Blending a variety of American roots instruments, Slinger, Danny, and Sky paint vivid pictures of
the plains and sing of the times. They’re a fiery and fuzzy three-piece, stomping out acoustic roots
remedies with meaningful messages. With a soul-filled sound that taps into the oldest hickory on the
farm and a youthful energy that gets the youngest toe-tappers talking, MoonCats deliver a truly unique
musical experience. MoonCats have shared the stage with Pert Near Sandstone, Henhouse Prowlers,
G. Love & Special Sauce, Flea Bitten Tramps, Ben Suchy, Art Rude, Gypsyfoot, and many more. Enjoy
their mix of new and old-time music—featuring banjo, washboard, upright bass, mandolin, guitar,
harmonica, and more—LIVE with MoonCats
