About this Event
When I was a child, my favourite festival was the Mid-Autumn Festival. It’s a day of indulgence in variations of mooncake. Now that I’ve grown up, I realised that the Chinese, Japanese and Korean share the same day celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. The festive delicacies and fable tales might be different, that’s the uniqueness of sharing the same celebration in different cultures.
On this day, we have a taste of different types of mooncakes with naturally sourced fruit and floral tea. We share our childhood stories on how we celebrated the day, fable tales that we heard and learn new phrases of different languages and cultures.
This event is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about Chinese, Japanese and Korean cultures, anyone who wants to meet new people and make new friends and any food lovers !
Come and join us at Battersea Park and we meet at Chelsea Gate entrance for a lovely spot under the trees. Spaces are limited as we believe in having a small group of people as a focus group to celebrate this festival together.
Please feel free to bring any snacks or drinks with you, we will serve variation of mooncakes but are limited to a max of two pieces per person with floral and fruit tea to complement it.
In an event of rain, an email will be sent to you to reschedule a new time or place to meet.
