Come join us at 'Moon Over Antioch'! It's an evening of free astronomy fun at the Antioch Public Library. You'll be able to view the Moon, planets and more through the excellent telescopes of the volunteers from the Lake County Astronomical Society (LCAS). This event is part of the 2025 Season of the LCAS Astronomy Under the City Lights (AUTCL) program. The event is free and open to all ages. No registration is required. These events are very kid-friendly.
You can join the event at anytime and leave at any time. The best views are usually during the darkest skies but there's something to see whenever you join us.
The Moon is visible for all events, but sometimes we can share a view of a planet, too. Sometimes a bright satellite like the International Space Station will cross the sky during an event.
This outdoor event depends on good weather, so clouds and/or rain will cause the event to be canceled.
