he Moon Festival is a traditional mid-autumn celebration of hope and renewal. It’s a time for gatherings, where loved ones share food, enjoy each other’s company, and take part in fun activities and entertainment.Dunedin’s Chinese community welcome you to join them in celebration!
The festivities commence at 2.30pm in the Toitū Foyer with speeches by community leaders, followed by music and dancing from Dunedin’s talented Chinese community. Dragon dancers will then lead a procession from Toitū to Lan Yuan where you’ll enjoy tai chi and Lion dancing performances. We then invite you to join us for complimentary moon cakes, tea, and to make a Qingyang sachet keepsake in the Courtyard.
