Celebrate the Moon Festival at Heritage House
Experience one of Asia’s most cherished traditions right here in Riverside! The Moon Festival celebrates the autumn harvest with moon cakes, lanterns, and gratitude for friends and family—a tradition that began with honoring the moon in autumn for the harvest.
Our celebration highlights the importance of Chinese Americans in building Riverside’s citrus industry. Enjoy an evening filled with:
- Storytelling by Barbara Wong
- Lion Dance performances by Gió Nam Múa Lân (Southern Wind Lion Dance, 南風醒獅團)
- Chinese calligraphy demonstrations by Riverside’s Hua Xia Chinese School
- Telescopes to view the night sky
- Mah-jongg games
- A hands-on craft for all ages
Moon cakes will be available for purchase. The event is free!
