Montz Matsumoto and Voicestrings is a Tasmanian-based alternative bluegrass band. Japanese-born Montz’s banjo and Asian flavoured compositions has been entertaining Australians in festivals, venues, local markets and streets. North Carolinian veteran Ross Sermons's guitar resonates with the bluegrass and blues authenticity, and Mitchell Partridge’s poercussion adds unexpected and unique colour. This band will take the audience from the golden-coloured rice paddy of Japan to the Apalachian mountains, and even to the atlantic sea shore.
