Join us in celebrating another addition to Downtown’s art scene!In 2020, MontiArts, our community arts program, secured a grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board to bring another large-scale mural to Monticello. With this support, artist Allison Hunsley, also known for the floral mural at Highway 25 and Broadway, was commissioned to create one-of-a-kind piece.
The result is “The Shoe Project” mural, which has recently found its new home in a parklet on Broadway, across the street from MontiArts. Although pandemic delays and construction pushed the timeline, the artwork has finally found its home.
We invite the community to celebrate this new piece of art in the heart of Downtown! Hear from MontiArts Director, Erica Witzmann, and artist, Allison Hunsley, before the viewing begins!
