Our next Warrior Women meeting September 14th (second Sunday this month!) Join us for a time of worship and special guest, Yvette Latta
Born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe—formerly Salisbury, Rhodesia—Yvette encountered the life-changing message of the Gospel at age 14 after hearing the Parable of the Sower and the Seed in her high school.
In 1977, she met Alan, an American who had come with his missionary family to help start a church in her city. A year later, they were married and moved to Houston, Texas, where their two children, Summer and Zane, were born. The family later settled in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
In 1991, Yvette and Alan moved to Hood County to help plant what is now Generations Church of Granbury. As the senior pastor’s wife, Yvette served the church in many ways—raising up children’s, youth, and women’s ministries, leading worship, preaching, and mentoring others in their walk with Christ.
Today, Yvette continues to minister through wise counsel and reconciliation, serving both individuals and families. In 2021, she began hosting Citywide House Fire Gatherings in their home—meetings designed to empower Holy Spirit–filled women to pray for the nation, operate in their spiritual gifts, and serve the Lord and His people in their communities and beyond.
With a deep passion for fostering unity in the Body of Christ, Yvette and Alan have ministered in 14 churches across Hood County, living out the truth of Psalms 133
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!”
Now blessed with five wonderful grandchildren, Yvette treasures her role as a grandmother while continuing to joyfully minister wherever the Lord leads.
