"Plantapolooza" was started by Chad Hardy as part of the Pollinator Pathways project with the goal of having native pollinator plants in every yard in Pinellas County. Last year at this event at Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, thousands of native plant seedlings were given away for people to plant in their gardens.During this presentation, Chad will make a 5-10 minute introduction about Plantapalooza, and then Madeleine from Wise Hands Native Nursery will show how to start seedlings from seed, cuttings and "volunteers" in hopes that participants will be interested in providing seedlings for this event on January 26th.
Chad will provide 3” pots and trays, and potting soil.
So come learn how to propagate for your own garden or to share with friends, or to help provide seedlings for Plantapalooza!
Everyone is welcome at all Pinellas Chapter monthly meetings - membership not required! Come and bring a friend. Enjoy light refreshments, the fellowship of other native plant lovers, both newbies and experts, an informative program, door prizes, and more. Please join us!
