Join us as we hear from Investigator Jackie Zielke about how she overcame and learned from the challenges associated with being a female in the field of law enforcement. Jackie is an Investigator with the San Diego District Attorney's Office. With nearly a decade of service in law enforcement, Jackie has honed expertise in criminal investigations, worked on a range of major cases involving serious crimes such as robbery, residential burglary, carjacking, sex crimes, and homicide. She is currently assigned to the Superior Court of San Diego County's Major Violator Team, which focuses on series-related and high-priority criminal cases.
Prior to joining the San Diego District Attorney's Office, Jackie served with the Carlsbad Police Department, where she worked as a General Investigations Detective and Field Training Officer. Prior to that, she was with the El Cajon Police Dept., working on crimes of violence and the gang patrol unit. Jackie holds an Advanced P.O.S.T. Certificate and a bachelor's degree in communications from California State University, San Marcos. She developed investigative skills through specialized training in many areas of law enforcement. She has participated in high-tech training covering emerging topics like artificial intelligence, cell phone preservation, social media investigations, and digital data mapping. She has received several awards, including Officer of the Year.

Her deep knowledge of criminal offenses and investigation processes within San Diego County makes her a key asset to the Major Violator Team and a respected figure in the field of criminal justice.
