Join us for the monthly meeting of the Umatilla Garden Club, with a program by Chris and Christie Leibner of Wild Garden Company. "Creating A Backyard Fruit Tree Guild" will teach you how to choose fruit trees that will thrive in our central Florida climate and plant them according to permaculture practices. By including pollinator attractors and nitrogen fixers, you can create your own little thriving, organic ecosystem that provides food for you and benefits nature, too!The public is invited to attend. Doors open at 9:30 for socializing and snacks; the meeting starts at 10am. Bring seeds and plants to swap, and be sure to stop at our welcome table to get some raffle tickets- among other items, we'll have a gift certificate available for a free "mini drive by consultation" by Chris & Christie that will give you a few suggestions as to how to get started with permaculture in your own backyard.

In short, we are about earth care, people care, and fair share.
