We are honored to welcome Carla Cox, Director of Programs and Mission at the Christian Service Center, as our guest speaker.
In her role, Carla is responsible for planning and implementing strategies aimed at decreasing homelessness throughout Central Florida. A critical first step in this work is evaluating the needs of individuals seeking services and ensuring they are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. Carla often shares that the clients themselves are the most rewarding part of her work.
“Offering clients consistency is really critical in a life that has no consistency,” Carla says. “We do this especially through our Daily Bread program.”

Please being men's shoes and men's pants of all sizes to be donated to the Christian Service Center. Also, dry goods for their pantry are always appreciated.
A recent study revealed that over 40% of Orange County’s unhoused population are children and seniors—our most vulnerable residents—left to endure extreme conditions with little to no safety net. These are our neighbors, and we cannot stay silent.
The Support Orlando Shelters Campaign was created to respond with compassion, truth, and action. Our mission is to:
Rally community support for the conversion of facilities or public land into a functional, compassionate emergency shelter or short term housing.
Build a network of residents ready to speak at public meetings, write op-eds, sign petitions, and show visible support for any initiative that provides help, not harm, to the unhoused.
Develop a consistent counter campaign against disinformation about our homeless population and fear-based narratives with truth, empathy, and unity.
