This month Kristen Mueller, Beekeeper at Barrington Bee will tell us about the challenging and interesting field of beekeeping.
Kristen Mueller is a small-scale hobbyist beekeeper and sells honey and wax products through the Barrington Bee Honey label. She has been a beekeeper since 2020, and was inspired to begin beekeeping after taking a personal development beekeeping course through McHenry County College. She is a member of the Northern Illinois Beekeeper Association, and acted on the Board for two years. She has won 1st place and Best in Show ribbons for honey and honey products at the McHenry County Fair in 2022 and 2023. When she isn't beekeeping, you can find Kristen in the Admissions & Recruitment department at McHenry County College.
