Give yourself the gift of the present moment, intentional movement, and connection with the community.Join us on the third Saturday of the month for donation-based Lujong (Tibetan Yoga) followed by a quiet meditation. This class meets IN PERSON & ONLINE.
Lujong helps invigorate our body and mind, and helps us to center and stabilize our being. This practice has been designed over centuries to provide that strength from within, and to support physical, mental and emotional well-being.
This series of fifteen exercises was developed by the Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche to help students enhance their physical health and to synchronize their body and mind. They have been adapted from the trulkor, the Tibetan yogic practices done by advanced practitioners in long retreat. The basic instruction during the exercises is to bring one’s awareness to the movement of the body or the physical sensations that arise in the body. This increases energy and pliancy. The wakefulness created by the exercises can bring a quality of meditation to ordinary activities throughout the day. When practiced as a group all the exercises are done in unison and can take 30 - 55 minutes or so.
No prior experience is necessary. Donations are gratefully accepted at the door or online via the website donate link. (Suggested: $10-20, or what you can offer.)
This new monthly Lujong class is held in person at Wisdom River Meditation Center - 7110 Redwood Blvd, Suite B., Novato, CA and online via Zoom.
