About the Walk
Being out in nature has been proven to be beneficial to our mental health so give yourself a monthly boost and join this monthly walk around Caledonian Park in Islington.
The walk is slow and gentle, and we look at what has changed in the park since the previous month - taking in new growth, listening to the birds, pondering the history of the site and breathing in the fresh air.
The walk is a lovely chance to chat to some other local people or simply enjoy the nature. It lasts around 30 minutes and occurs on the third Thursday of every month.
We meet underneath the Caledonian Clock Tower. The postcode is N7 9PL and we are a 3-minute walk from Caledonian Road tube station. There are toilets in the park which are wheelchair accessible. This walk is dementia friendly.
We return to the Cally Clock Tower Centre at the end of the walk and have tea and biscuits together. Everything is free and there is no need to book a ticket, just turn up!
Dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes that you don't mind getting a little muddy. We always stick to paths but they can be muddy if it's been wet.

About Caledonian Park
The history of Caledonian (Cally) Park and the local area extends beyond the iconic clock tower itself. The park and local area hide many clues to the history of the cattle market and the subsequent "Cally" market. We are Islington's second largest park and an important hub for nature in the borough.
