Join The Lightning Girls—an uplifting female rock and roll duo dedicated to bringing you joy, love, and peace one song at a time—for a transformative evening of mantra singing and Kirtan-style music. Together, we’ll create a space of healing and connection through the power of song.
The Lightning Girls have been writing and performing together since 2021, using music as a tool for healing, empowerment, and community. Whether you’re an experienced singer or just starting out, this circle is open to all. Lyric sheets will be provided, including some of the duo's original, soul-nourishing songs that will lift your spirit and bring peace to your mind. No experience necessary—just bring your heart and your voice!
When: Last Friday of every month, 7:30 PM

Bios:

Originally from Poland, Isha Justyna Kostek studied and facilitated active meditations at the Osho International Meditation Institute in Pune, India, where she earned her certification as an active meditation instructor. Isha has guided these transformative practices at spiritual gatherings, ecstatic dances, women’s circles, cacao ceremonies, and yoga studios in NYC, upstate New York, Poland, and India. She is the founder of Ecstatic Dance Oneonta, a certified master-level sound healer from Samaveda Sound Healing Academy, and a Therapeutic Horsemanship student at SUNY Cobleskill. A singer in The Lightning Girls, Isha also teaches Movement for Mental Health at SUNY Oneonta. IG: @isha_activemeditations.

Niki Kaos is a singer/songwriter from Troy, NY who guides musicians to find the melodies in their hearts and express them in the community of song. She is part of The Lightning Girls duo, records and performs in indie alt-rock band Curious Comet and has co-written, co-directed and co-starred in a new musical, Moochie The Dumpster Kat. Niki loves the 518 music scene and the joy music brings to people’s lives.
