Every month in the DC metro area, we hold a monthly bardic circle / bardic support group meeting! The goal is to share and support one another in bardic arts. This month we'll be meeting in Crystal City - as always, ask privately for the exact address! This is a space to:
- Share your work-in-progress, or upcoming competition pieces you're practising, and ask for feedback
- Workshop songs and stories
- Teach people pieces you've written (or just pieces you love) so we can sing them together
- Collaborate on accompanying each other and doing choral bits
- come and just listen if you don't want to perform!
This is NOT a competition, official event, or a space to shame anyone for beginner/post-period/on-book pieces. It's a bardic support group. Bring half-finished work, ask questions, and help one another!
Anyone is welcome. We'll likely mostly be SCAdians from Ponte Alto (& Roxbury & Storvik) but LARPers and ren faire bards are also more than welcome.
