+ special guestsMontello are Jacob Knowles, Jacob Ratcliffe, Liam Conway and Toby Devereux; a four piece indie-rock powerhouse from Wigan, Greater Manchester. Formed in November 2023, they hit the local indie music scene performing small gigs around the North West of England, and have amassed a small but loyal cult following throughout their short albeit impressionable time as a band.
It all started when lead guitarist Liam Conway, bassist Jacob Ratcliffe and drummer Toby Devereux met whilst watching The Lathums playing Manchester Academy 3. They met vocalist and rhythm guitarist Jacob Knowles after starting their Music Performance course at Winstanley College, and the four instantly began writing, churning out originals such as ‘House On Fire’ and ‘The Winter of our Discotheque’.
The lads debuted supporting Indie band and friend of Knowles’ Caesar of Cymatics at Retro, Manchester and played to an electric crowd and attendee acclaim. They’re now preparing to headline their very own place of origin Manchester Academy 3 on Friday 19th July, a dream come true for the indie four-piece.
