Rape is scary, but SARCC has been working to prevent and heal it since 1983. Each year, we celebrate Monte Carlo to support our mission. 2025 brings a creepy new theme to an event that has raised needed funds for sexual assault response since 2004 - Spooky Season is here and it has so much to offer!
SARCC’s Monte Carlo Night will be held on Friday, March 28, 2024, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m., at the Lebanon Country Club. In addition, the event includes:
- Spooky decor, costumes and contests, and much more!
- Thrilling music and dancing
- Buffet of delectable and creative hors d’oeuvres and desserts
- Silent Auction items to “purchase” with your winnings
- Casino games with “funny” money
- Celebrity dealers
- Exciting raffles
Did you know?
Sexual violence is common and widespread.
- One in five women and one in 71 men will be raped at some point in their lives.
- One in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually abused before they turn 18.
- 34% of people who sexually abuse a child are family members.
- 81% of women and 35% of men report significant short-term or long-term impacts such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
- Each rape costs approximately $151,423 to the public.
In Lebanon and Schuylkill Counties, we have seen at least a 10% increase in new client referrals each year for the past three years. Last year, we provided direct service support for 1,134 clients and over 4,000 hours of victim services, and over 1,100 hours of evidence-based therapy treatment.
