With the passing of Chief Librarian Brigid Tenenbaum, a collection of strange and alien technology has been left behind - artifacts that defy the scientific standards of today - along with journals detailing bizarre experiments and maps claiming to reveal the coordinates of the fabled modern Atlantis: Rapture.
Rumors dating back to the 1950s tell of wealthy philanthropist Andrew Ryan, who gathered what he considered society’s elite before vanishing without a trace. Many whisper he built a city beneath the sea where science could be unleashed without morality.
Strange stories from the ocean have always circulated among sailors - hushed tales of ghostly lighthouses in the middle of nowhere, of people snatched from the shore by old-time divers, and countless other mysteries - though never with any proof. Now, armed with Tenenbaum’s notes and coordinates, the University of Boston has chartered a ship carrying a handful of professors and students to investigate, hoping to uncover the truth of the legendary city under the sea.
