Interested in learning monoprint techniques? This monoprint workshop introduces participants to the exciting process of monoprinting using acrylic paint and glass surfaces. Inspired by the atmospheric works of Mark Rothko students will explore creating prints in both black and white and color. The workshop emphasizes the creative journey and experimentation in printmaking.

Introduction and Setup
• Welcome and overview of the workshop.
• Introduction to materials and tools.
• Brief demonstration of monoprinting techniques.
Monoprinting Basics
• Preparing the glass surface with acrylic paint using rollers.
• Techniques for drawing on paper pressed on the painted glass.
• Creating initial black and white prints.
• Group discussion and sharing of first prints.
Exploring Color
• Introduction to using color in monoprints.
• Mixing and layering colors on the glass surface.
• Creating color prints inspired by Rothko’s atmospheric style.
