Monica Brewster Evenings is a monthly event series with thinkers, makers, enablers and practitioners from across the creative sector.
Join us in kicking off the first half of our 2025 season for March's Monica Brewster Evening with Becky Manawatu (Ngāi Tahu) .
Becky Manawatu (Ngāi Tahu) is a West Coast author and journalist. Her debut novel Auē, won the 2020 Jann Medlicott Acorn Prize, the MitoQ Best First Book Award and the Ngaio Marsh Award for Best Crime Novel, and almost five years on is regarded as a modern classic, with editions published around the world. The sequel Kataraina was published in 2024.
Monica Brewster Evenings are produced in partnership with Govett Quilliam - The Lawyers, with further event support from Michael Radich Wine Merchants, Theory Food, and Shining Peak brewing.
