A 2-hour workshop for therapists on business finances, fee-setting, and financial sustainability
About this Event

Therapists are trained to hold space for healing — but most of us were never taught how to hold space for our business finances.

This interactive 2-hour workshop will help you build confidence with money, demystify the financial side of running a therapy practice, and leave you with a personalized financial plan you can actually use.

You’ll learn directly from Brianna Weatherspoon, BS, MS (Accounting & Finance) — founder of Spoonful Financial Services, with more than a decade of experience in financial operations, bookkeeping, tax preparation, and strategic support.

What makes this workshop unique:

  • Expert guidance from a finance professional who understands the realities of private practice.
  • Workbook provided with worksheets, checklists, and templates you’ll use during and after the workshop.
  • Small group format (capped at 15) ensures personalized attention and Q&A.
  • Coffee, tea, and light refreshments provided so you can focus fully on the learning.

What You’ll Learn

Through slides, discussion, and workbook activities, we’ll cover:

  • Money Mindset: Shift unhelpful money narratives into sustainable reframes.
  • Mini Business Plan: Define your services, fees, and income goals with clarity.
  • Chart of Accounts: Track income and expenses in a simple, organized way.
  • Rate-Setting Formula: Learn how to confidently calculate your fee based on your real costs and goals.
  • Business Structures & Taxes: Understand Sole Prop, LLC, and S-Corp basics.
  • Quarterly Taxes & Profit Split: How to set aside money for taxes, savings, expenses, and pay.
  • Retirement & Benefits: SEP IRA, Solo 401k, Roth IRA, health insurance, and more.
  • Action Plan: Walk away with your session rate, tax savings % target, profit split, and one concrete money mindset shift.

You’ll leave with more than just information — you’ll have a clear plan in hand for making your practice financially sustainable.

Why This Workshop is Worth It
  • Professional-grade support at an accessible cost: Accountants and tax advisors often charge $150–$300/hour. Here, you get 2 hours of teaching plus personalized Q&A and a workbook for less than half of that.
  • Concrete takeaways: You’ll leave with a financial plan, a workbook full of resources, and practical next steps.
  • Confidence with money: No more dreading tax season, fee-setting, or answering “what’s your rate?” You’ll gain clarity and peace of mind that directly impacts your practice.
  • Better client care: A financially secure therapist is a better therapist. This workshop isn’t just about money — it’s about supporting your long-term well-being and your clients’.

Pricing & Accessibility
  • Early Bird Registration (by October 15): $95
  • Standard Registration: $115
  • Equity Spots: $65 (limited availability for those who need them)

Your registration helps cover facilitator fees, workbook materials, and refreshments. Any funds raised beyond operating costs go directly into a pool to make future offerings more accessible.
