About this Event
Parent and Child: Mondrian in Textiles
To find things out - you may have come across works of Mondrian, or noticed the signature blocks of red, blue and yellow, with black lines around you. Dutch painter Piet Mondrian of De Stijl movement sought to embody the essential with his works, bridging art with life.
Inspired by this spirit, we would like invite you (parent!) and child to a session in crafting and textiles. An exercise in the essentials, we channel the Mondrian spirit. A creative, playful and interactive event where parents and kids can bond over art. You will create a textile piece, with upcycled materials. Pick and arrange lines, colors and elements -- whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this event is perfect for all skill levels. Express and discover your creativity, make with your hands and create unforgettable memories with your little one.
Each participant (pair) will bring home your own Mondrian - inspired work with a frame. Suitable for children ages 5 and above. No experience needed - come with an open mind!
