The "King of Cards - Your Local Game Shop" Team is very pleased to announce our brand new charity event program, proudly supporting the Cancer Society.Welcome to our new look Monday Night Commander events, which have now relocated to the event hall at the Cancer Society Domain Lodge, 1 Boyle Crescent, Grafton.
Starting on Monday April 14th each event registration will provide you with an entry to our Cancer Society Games Fair Prize Draw, the winner of which will be announced at the conclusion of the Games Fair. The first prize for the draw will include a copy of the highly sought after borderless secret lair "Encore Electromancer" (Snapcaster Mage) card, currently valued at over $1,000!
Games Fair Prize Draw qualifying event dates are: 14/4, 21/4, 28/4, 5/5 and at Games Fair itself, on 10/5 & 11/5. You will receive one entry into the prize draw for EACH of the charity commander events that you attend. Which gives you up to six chances to WIN! 😀
ALL of your $10 entry fee will directly benefit Cancer Society Auckland Northland.
We all still get to play Commander together, PLUS we get to do some good in the world too.
Our long-term goal is to generate, thru venue hire fees and player attendance, a total of $25K in direct contribution assistance to the ongoing running costs of the Cancer Society, over the course of the 2025 calendar year. Monday Night Commander will of course play a large part in that effort, but we do also anticipate announcing other events soon.
Prize Support? There will continue to be Promo Card prizes provided for all registered players, PLUS Ultimate Guard will be adding an additional random prize draw treat to each event. The Ultimate Guard prizes offered may include Playmats, Deck Boxes, Card Albums or other fun Ultimate Guard branded accessories.
Registration for these events will operate in the same manner as before, via the Magic the Gathering Companion App.
The $10 entry fee for the event will be payable at Domain Lodge Reception upon arrival. Eftpos facilities are available at the venue.
Jared will operate as our event liaison each Monday, so if you have any questions please bring them to his attention, or speak to Laurence when he is next available.
We look forward to seeing lots of our favorite Pod-People for Commander on Mondays, and we will have Pods starting from 4pm! So get there early and enjoy all of the fun 🥳
PARKING DETAILS:
To use the on-site parking, drive up to the carpark entrance, press the button to speak to reception, who will then open the gate. Once inside, park in any of the non-reserved spaces on the ground floor.
