98% Rotten Tomatoes
“Bursting with humanity and dark humor, it’s a sharply well-acted, written and directed modern thriller that grapples with urgently existential questions of justice, violence and resistance.” - Chase Hutchinson, Seattle Times
“It is just so intelligent; so blisteringly powerful; so light of touch. It is also one of those rare movies that manages to mix an unlikely trinity of shaggy-dog comedy, revenge thriller and seriously heavy political s--t.” - Nick Howells, London Evening Standard
“It Was Just an Accident is terrific, nothing less than cinema as national conscience.” - David Sexton, New Statesman
The Monday Cinema series is part of the Toronto International Film Festival Film Circuit and is presented by Trail and District Arts Council and proudly supported by Clark's Funeral Services.
