The Garage Bar and Grille | Durham

Monday bike night

Established in 2017, The Garage Bar And Grille (DH7 0DN) has BIKE NIGHT Mondays and Thursday Nights every week 5pm until closing.
With a huge parking area round the back, The Garage Bar and Grille is ideal for bikes (and cars). There is a huge amount of indoor and outdoor (both covered and uncovered) seating, so you can relax in the beer garden right beside your bikes.
The Garage has a cracking full menu on offer, with home cooked, fresh food using lots of locally sourced ingredients. The bar has a good variety of drinks on offer. If you’re looking for a quick light bite, there is a low cost snack option on bike nights. Currently, Monday will have hot meat bap specials on, alongside full price menu. Thursday Bike Night also includes Pizza night, where you can get a starter, pizza and dessert for under a £12. Bargain. This may change in the warmer months.
There is a loose Sunday meet, as most of us go there for their incredible Sunday dinners, the freshest and best value Sunday dinner in Durham.
We are hoping to get a fastidious valet on site on bike nights offering a clean and protect package for your pride and joy, at an extremely affordable price, ideal to get your bike looking its best for the weekend, without having too much worry about having to get it gleaming after a hard weekends riding (just get it done again next bike night )
And also plans to have rideouts in the warmer months to amazing scenic places, where some days award winning photographer Debbie Sayers will be on hand to take some incredible photos of you and your pride and joy, that go light years beyond the usual “lay-by fly-by” action shots available.
We’re also hoping to get some band days on, so you can ride out then rock out!
Please invite your bike friends if they aren’t already members, feel free to post to find others near you to ride in with. If you haven’t been for a while, get yourself back and see what’s new. Bike night runs even in the winter (cars are fine!) as it’s as much about the social connection as it is your bikes.
Postcode is DH7 0DN, Burnhope is a small village and the garage is located just behind the front Street in between the 2 sets of traffic chicanes in the village. Look for the Garage logo on a lamppost to assist directing you!
It doesn’t have to be bike night either, Louise and Terry, who are keen bikers and bleed oil, will be over the moon to welcome you anytime they are open. They have done so much to create a little automotive haven for us all to meet, relax and be able to socialise with our bikes in sight. They support Northumbria Blood Bikes including raising money and hosting one of the NBB360 official stops and it’s nice to give our support in return.
