The newly opened Coffee Luxe has invited us to use their lovely, bright and airy upstairs space for a silent book club meeting … AND the massive bonus is that there’s a soft play area with a ball pool, toys and a kidproof tv and some bean bags for the beebees to be entertained as you read. AND now there’s a very special cosy “quiet room” with book shelves and squishy seats we can use!
We will gather together from 1pm and the reading hour starts at 1.30 until 2.30pm
The meeting takes places upstairs which may be an accessibility issue for some as there are 3 short flights of stairs to access this space. The downstairs space may be more suitable and if you’re attending but aren’t able to join the main group, please message and let me know and I will come and join you to give you some quiet company (I promise I’ll be reasonably quiet!)
Parking available at the front of the shop on the road or in the car park through the black gates
As ever, this meeting is open to everyone, but this is the first meeting we’ve been able to offer something to accommodate parents of small children too with a large play area and baby change facilities.
Please be aware that this meeting may not be the usual level of “silence” we are used to but the room is large enough for you to sit at one end away from little people’s noise or closer to the play area to keep an eye on your lovely little munchkin.
