Monaghan Dramatic Society brings this updated timeless fairytale to the Garage Theatre.Cinderella is bullied by her wicked stepmother and ugly stepsisters, and her only true friend is Buttons the butler. He is always trying to cheer her up, but is too shy to tell her how he really feels about her. Cinderella’s father, the Baron, has fallen on hard times. Count de Cash enlists the help of hapless debt collectors Hyde and Seek to try to make the Baron pay back rent or risk losing his home.
The King and Queen organise a royal ball to find a suitable wife for the Prince, and Cinderella believes her dream of meeting and marrying Prince Charming might come true. She doesn’t realise that she already met the Prince, when he pretended to be his valet, Dandini to get to talk to her, and give her tickets for the ball. Unfortunately, Cinderella’s stepmother and sisters have other ideas, and she is left home alone.
However, things take a magical turn when her Fairy Godmother appears and ensures that Cinderella gets to the ball and true love finally wins the day, once the owner of a lost glass slipper is found!!
A fun filled pantomime with plenty of laughs and songs for all the family…. A show not to be missed!!!!!!!
