Safiya will be teaching Basic Bellydance Techniques, & Combos to help you fortify your bellydance foundation.
ALL LEVELS of students are welcome!
Turns, Traveling Steps, Directional Changes, Level Changes, and all the things that help glue the rest of the dance together will be discussed, and practiced!
On top of these Basic Skills students will also get the chance to work with Finger Cymbals to hone their skills. Finger Cymbals (Aka: Zills, Ziller, or Sagat) Are an integral part of Bellydance history and a MUST LEARN skill for all bellydance students.
While they can be challenging, they are tremendously fun to learn to use, and an impressive skill to any audience.
The studio has loaner finger cymbals, as well as some for sale at our store.
It's kinda like taking out all your dance tools, cleaning them up, and greasing them. 😉
Cost: $75+tax for the 6 Week Session, Drop in Fee is $20+tax per class, Or Use a Class Card or MU Pass!
