The presentation will explore the mental and emotional challenges faced by mothers working in health care and the often-overlooked impact of balancing clinical responsibilities with family life.
Drawing on personal experience and professional training, Dr. El Yaman will discuss burnout, chronic stress, and the pressures unique to physician mothers, nurses, and other medical professionals. The talk will highlight practical, evidence-informed strategies to support mental well-being, set boundaries, and promote long-term sustainability in medical careers.

About the Speaker
Sarah El Yaman, M.D., is a third-year fellow in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Miami and Jackson Health System. She is board-certified in general pediatrics and has authored five peer-reviewed publications. She previously served as a clinical instructor in Beirut, Lebanon, and has extensive experience in academic medicine, clinical teaching, and pediatric patient care.
