Area women of all ages are invited to attend a free seminar on Thursday, May 9, to learn about important health strategies to keep moms staying healthy throughout their life stages.The “Mom’s Health Matters” seminar is hosted by Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC), and features SRMC-affiliated physicians and health care professionals, who will discuss health topics of special interest to mothers and those who love them. The event will be held at the new SRMC Surgery & Outpatient Pavilion, 400 Town Center Avenue in Columbiana.
Kicking off the event on Thursday, May 9 from 6-6:30 p.m., participants will have an opportunity to tour the Advanced Radiology Center and learn about its advanced 3-D mammography
screening, DEXA scans and other medical imaging technologies.
At 7 p.m. Joseph Miladore, M.D., Family Medicine, will discuss “The Importance of Prevention,” focusing on health and wellness through screenings, exercise and nutrition. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Linda Camp, M.D., will then discuss “Breast Cancer & Wellness” and ways to enhance a woman’s appearance and well-being.
At the conclusion of the seminar, skin care demonstrations, including Hydrafacials and treatments to diminish frown lines and wrinkles, will be provided by the staff at SRMC Plastic
Surgery.
Seminar participants will be eligible for a drawing for a free facial, compliments of SRMC Plastic Surgery.
