If you'd like to each have a set of 3 cookies to decorate, please purchase individual tickets. If you'd like to share a set to help your child, you can purchase the "PAIR" option so I can plan for the correct number of seats in the workshop.
Introduction
Looking for a unique Mother's Day gift? Give the gift of an experience -- treat a sweet mom in your life to this cookie decorating class. She'll learn some new tricks and get to spend some sweet time with her little(s).
In this 2-hour beginner class, we'll cover the basics of sugar cookie decorating, do some piping practice with royal icing, talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing! Everything you'll need is provided at class along with your live in-person instructor (Maddie!) – just bring a smile and an open mind!
You'll leave class with a beautiful set of cookies (you'll be surprised!) and a great understanding of the basics of sugar cookies plus a few cool techniques we'll cover in class! Looking forward to having you with us.

About MaddieKakes Bake Shop
Owned by Maddie Haydon, MaddieKakes Bake Shop is an at-home bakery in St. Joseph, MI. It all began when she decorated a set of Betty Crocker sugar cookies for her best friend's bachelorette party, which led to selling custom cookies, which led to teaching decorating classes! She teaches these classes monthly in St. Joe and often in Kalamazoo.
Maddie's classes cater to the beginner cookier or people just looking to have fun learning a new skill. Whether you just want a fun date, a girls-or-guys-night-out or just want to explore what cookie decorating is on your own - there's a seat for you.

DIY / Add-On Kits
Order your sugar cookie class kit and take the class home with you to teach a child or friend, or try it again on your own! These class kits come with everything you'll use in class. Cookie Class DIY Kits are prepared before your class, and you'll pick them up and take them with you after class.
How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keep them fresh for a long time, but I recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home. Cookies are heat sealed for freshness – but again, use it in under a week to make sure it tastes the best.
