About this Event
October 15th is National Pregnacy and Infant Loss and Awareness Day.
A day of remembrance for parents, family and friends for pregnancy and infant loss. On this evening we will light candles for each family that attends so that they can take part in the "International Wave of Light". At 7PM in all time zones across the world candles are lit and kept burning for one hour, creating a 24 hour "wave of light" as if moves around the world in reverence of beloved babies who are dearly loved and forever missed.
No one can take away the deep pain of your loss, but we can help facilitate emotional and spiritual support. To meet this need for strength, growth, and progressive healing, we offer the Moments to Share Support Group. Our support group is for parents, who have experienced a pregnancy or neonatal loss, and their family and friends. Whether your loss was recent or in years past, we are here for you.
We bring a greater understanding of perinatal grief and how it affects lives and relationships. Families come together to discover ways of coping, find courage and hope for the future.
Meetings are held at the Ronald McDonald House (located on the corner of 3rd Street and Central Avenue). For questions regarding dates and times please call 423-778-5149 to speak with our Bereavement Coordinator.
It is FREE to attend this group, but registration is strongly encouraged to ensure we provide proper space for families.
