For fifty years the Port Adelaide Historical Society has worked to preserve and protect the heritage of our historic gateway to South Australia.We continue to collect, research and record the many images, documents, and artefacts which reveal the fascinating stories of Port Adelaide.
Photographs in particular are by definition frozen moments in time, which allow us to imagine and reimagine the stories of the people and places they depict.
We have brought out of storage a large number of pictures which have never previously been displayed, and we would like to share them with you in an exhibition with a difference.
Our members will be in attendance to provide context and colour to the social, built and maritime treasures which we will display right in the heart of our old Port.
