Featured mom-Virginia Roberson
Virginia is married to Steve, who is the Worship and Admin Pastor at Sunset Avenue Baptist Church. They have been married for 40 years and have served at Sunset for 28 years. Virginia and Steve have 4 adult children and 10 granddarlings.
The Roberson family has done Public School, Home School, and Private Christian School. Virginia is an educator but stayed home for 18 years until the oldest went to college. She then taught Middle and High School English at Faith Christian School for 11 years. She left FCS to be the Executive Director of Your Choice Pregnancy Resource Center for almost 7 years. After taking a 3 year stint to care for aging parents and other family needs, she is now the Program Director for LifeWise Nash County which is teaching the Bible to Public School students during the school day.
Being a mother is how Virginia learned to pray. Parenting, grandparenting, teaching, leading organizations, being married or just cooking dinner - nothing of any value happens apart from prayer.
