On Wednesday, April 2nd, Molly Healy and Lyal Strickland will showcase their orchestral folk music and Americana storytelling at an intimate show in the Tap Room at Waldo Pizza. Doors open at 5:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm.
Molly Healey is a one-woman orchestra. As a longtime fiddle player for the Ozark Mountain Daredevils who morphed into a powerhouse experimental songwriter, Molly Healey began her solo career in 2015 after buying a simple looping pedal. She immediately found a passion for blending her strings and voice together into atmospheric and experimental orchestral folk songs. She has grown from the stripped-down looping solo set, to a roster of original music and choice covers that she often performs with a full electric band. She plays a dazzling variety of instruments: cello, violin, guitar, and piano, all while experimenting with various other sounds looping in Ableton Live.
Lyal Strickland is an Americana singer-songwriter, whose music is as authentic as the Ozark hills from which it hails. With a background deeply embedded in the rural landscapes of Missouri, his lyrics resonate with the experiences of small-town life, weaving tales of struggle, resilience, and the unyielding human spirit. Strickland’s songs are a reflection of his upbringing in a small town, where the values and hardships of rural life imbue every note and word. His albums move through stages of life, showcasing his distinctive voice that brings his narratives to life. Each song is a window into Strickland's world, inviting listeners to step into stories woven with candor and crushing humility.

The two-hour show will start at 7:00 PM and doors will open at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, April 2nd in the Tap Room at Waldo Pizza.
Food and drink from Waldo Pizza will be available for purchase throughout the show.
Seating is first come first serve at shared tables. Please arrive early to select your seat.
