Molina Healthcare is partnering with Uplift Laundry Truck to host the second in a series of free laundry events for individuals and families in Durham at Rise N Rinse Laundromat on Saturday August 30. Through the “Wash and Wellness” event attendees will receive a $10 pre-loaded card for laundry services. The initiative aims to improve health outcomes by bridging barriers to clean clothes while supporting local students and families this fall.
Laundry insecurity has a profound impact on health and wellbeing. Laundering clothes removes dirt and bodily fluids helping prevent the spread and re-exposure to bacteria and pathogens that cause illness. As 1 in 5 students nationally face limited access to clean clothes Molina and Uplift Laundry Truck are working to remove barriers so families can focus on their school year healthy and happy.
