Mojo Risin' is the ultimate Doors tribute band on the West Coast. Featuring pro musicians, the band takes their audience on a musical journey through all of The Doors’ timeless, classic hits, including Roadhouse Blues, L.A. Woman, Light My Fire, Break on Through and Riders on the Storm.
Singer John Nagle nails Jim Morrison’s trademark buttery baritone and primal growl, and bears a striking resemblance to the LA Woman-era, bearded Morrison. With guitarist Matt O’Neill as Robby Krieger, keyboardist John Harjo as Ray Manzarek, and drummer Eric Nagle as John Densmore.
SHOOTING STAR is a tribute to the musical legacy of BAD COMPANY and PAUL RODGERS. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees were one of the 1st Supergroups to ever exist, comprised of ex-members from FREE, MOTT THE HOOPLE and KING CRIMSON and formed in 1973. They were the first band to be signed to Led Zeppelin’s SWAN SONG record label and released their 1st full length record in 1973. Their music has been defined as Hard Blues Rock drawn from their early influences.
SHOOTING STAR also focuses on Paul Rodger’s 50-year career diving into the music of Free (of which he was a member) as well as the very 80’s Supergroup The Firm which he formed with legendary guitarist Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), releasing 2 albums which included the hits Radioactive, Satisfaction Guaranteed and All The Kings Horses.
SHOOTING STAR is made up of “5” L.A. seasoned musicians each with their own pedigree and a lifetime of thousands of gigs under their belts. The 5-piece plays 100% Live without backing tracks, showcases their impressive 4-part harmonies and pays homage to the Band’s amazing catalog along with Paul’s gritty & bluesy soulful tenor voice that has fans singing the lyrics to every song from beginning to end.
