Have you ever felt the snap, crackle, and pop of poetic electricity?

Poetry Night (by the illiterists at Burn & Rave)is an evening where words waltz and haikus roar, all to the beat of your creative beatnik soul, where bohemian dreams come true, and where poetry gets a hip, happening twist.
Join us for a night of open mic and an epic haiku battle! Prizes awarded to "Best Poem" and "Haiku Champion!"

But wait, there's more! Open mic poets will have the choice of musical accompaniment galore: bongos, cello, piano, and more, so come to listen and explore the immense depth and power of the written word.

So feel free to don your berets, shades, and your hippest threads and come be a part of Modesto's literary legacy.

NOTE: The venue will be at LoFi Diner (1325 J St. in Downtown Modesto) assuming they will be finished with construction. It is wrapping up now and we will confirm ASAP.
