About this Event

About:

Join the International Center for Law and Economics on Capitol Hill for a keynote by Adam Candeub, General Counsel of the FCC, as he breaks down the current video competition landscape. Afterward, Professor Candeub will lead a panel of experts to discuss the “great convergence” of video.

Consumers no longer care about the technical difference between cable and streaming; they just want to watch their favorite shows. However, the legal categories the FCC uses were built for the 20th century and don’t always fit how video is sold or discovered today. Speakers will explore how this new world impacts competition, the role of tech intermediaries like smart TVs, and the future of data-driven ads.
