About this Event
Enjoy a walking tour of the Modern Art from the National Gallery of Art Washington, D.C. collection. You will begin your tour at the start of the Modern Art movement and work your way up into Contemporary Art. This is a very fast-paced fun tour with our Street Art Museum Tours art museum tour guide Stephen. This tour includes famous artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Jackson Pollock, and more.
Requirements
Comfortable cloaths and walking shoes. Masks are required at this time.
How to Join
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Stephen will begin the tour on time. If you are late you may call our office to see if we can locate your tour; however, there is no guarantee that we can get you to your tour guide. Our group will meet inside the entrance next to the Information Desk with the benches. Once you have registered for the tour you will be sent an email with all necessary information and details about how to join the group and our cancellation policy.

Meet Your Tour Guide | Stephen Mead
Stephen has led a life and career rooted in understanding, sharing, and teaching others about the arts. He spent many years in London as a lead tour guide at the Victoria and Albert Museum. He was also a speaker for the National Arts Collection Fund and an educator at a myriad of educational institutions throughout Britain. Since moving to the Washington D.C. area six years ago, Stephen has spent countless hours leading locals and visitors alike through our many monuments and the capital’s museums. Above all else, Stephen is a master storyteller who weaves together the threads of history and art to engage and delight his audiences.
