It is ROCKET TIME for Plant City!SHARE this event with your friends!
Families of Plant City, do you have an energetic kiddo? Our Cub Scouts are putting on a Model Rocket Building Workshop for kiddos of Plant City that would like to do something AWESOME in the middle of their summer.
You child does not need to be registered with scouts to participate. This is for BOYS and GIRLS, kindergarten through 8th grade.
This workshop is not for experienced rocket builders, it is an introductory model rocket building class that is for CHILDREN, K-8th grade. It is Monday, June 17th, at 5pm in our air-conditioned legion hall. We will be building them inside with plenty of help.
Then, the following Saturday (June 22nd), we will launch them. These are REAL model rockets, and we will have a launch the following Saturday, June 22nd, at 9am at the practice fields behind Plant City High School.
We will provide the models and the engines for liftoff. The workshop is free, however, there is a cost of $10 per rocket.
Parents, please RESERVE your spots early by PM'ing us, for we will only have a limited number of rockets available. Please reach out today to reserve your rockets!

With the rockets build on June 17th, we will meet up the morning of June 22nd at 9am to launch them all. Our launch site will be the practice fields behind Plant City High School. This is not a "spectator event", only the kiddos and their families that will have a model rocket to launch. We will have more Saturday Launch details for everyone at the Monday workshop. Get your kiddos and your friend's kids signed up, it'll be a BLAST!
