Modder (BE):
Modder is a five-piece sludge & doom formation hailing from Ghent, Belgium. With riffs designed to make your neck break, supported by thundering basslines, grooving drums, industrialist samples and synths, they forge a unique sound in the sludge landscape. In response to their first EP ‘Mudslinger’ (2020), an impressive 21-minute-long riff fest, Lay Bare Recordings & Consouling Sounds joined forces and offered the band to bring onto the world their self-produced and by now criticallyacclaimed self titled 12’’ which sold out within two weeks after its release on December 3rd, 2021. Modder has been playing live since the fall of 2021 at venues and festivals around the Benelux, sharing the stage with the likes of Hangman’s Chair, DOOL, Blind To Faith, Alkerdeel, Doodseskader, Wiegedood, Helms Alee, Predatory Void, Bongzilla and many others. Now with latest album; ‘The Great Liberation Through Hearing’ under its belt, Modder will continue to crush audiences with their sonic mayhem in 2024 and beyond. All this with one goal in mind: to obliterate every stage as they take their riff worship to the highest possible sound-level.
Fire Walk With Us (NL):
Amsterdam-based postmetallurgists, forging heavy and expansive tones from strings, sticks, skins, picks, pedals, amps and beer. Supported and shared stages with the likes of Deafheaven (US), Amen Ra (BE) & more. Deze avond brengen ze hun nieuwe album uit, dus mis hem niet!
Afgrond (NL):
Post-sludge/Doom metal from Haarlem.
Even though the formation happened while the Slachthuis practice space were still in a small run down daycare, the band really came together when their vocalist joined.
Creating high volume, low tuned riffs inspired by the likes of TESA, SUMAC etc, combined with growling dutch vocals. AFGROND will guide you down into the abyss that awaits all… DEBUT show!
