Dallas's only live, interactive, movie mocking comedy show is bringing back one of its most popular and requested movie roasts to Free Play Arcade in Fort Worth! The first Super Mario Bros. movie starring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo as Brooklyn's most famous plumbers is the first video game movie in Hollywood history. When it was released in 1993, it ran straight into a turtle shell and died at the box office. It's since become a cult favorite and one of our most favorite movies to riff on with our fans.
So we've team up with the folks at DFW's greatest video game arcade chain for a special riff on the roof of its Fort Worth location starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 19th. You'll get a special bag of props to use during the movie, a chance to buy raffle tickets for a huge prize and a few more surprises.
This event is free but all proceeds from the raffle and suggested donations made at the show will go towards the GoFundMe campaign for the Alamo Drafthouse DFW employees who were laid off when the theaters closed on July 6.
