About this Event
BRAND NEW WORK SHOP FOR 2026!
We had so many of our community request this as in person event so we are excited to bring you this fully interactive session.
Navigating SEND appeals and tribunals can feel intimidating, overwhelming, and deeply emotional - especially when the stakes are so high for a child or young person. This in-person, hands-on workshop is designed to give parents, carers, and professionals the skills, confidence, and practical know-how to approach the process with clarity and conviction.
Join Sunshine Support’s experienced team for a Mock Tribunal and Appeals Workshop, guiding you through each stage of the process in a supportive, interactive learning environment. By experiencing a realistic mock hearing, you’ll gain invaluable insight into what to expect and how to present your case effectively.
During this workshop, you will learn:
- How SEND appeals and tribunals actually work
- What panels look for and how decisions are made
- How to prepare evidence and written submissions
- How to present confidently, stay focused, and respond under pressure
- What effective advocacy looks like in practice
Who is this for?
✅ Parents and carers
✅ SENCOs, teachers, social workers and other professionals
✅ Anyone supporting a child or young person through SEND disputes
You’ll leave feeling empowered, prepared and better equipped to advocate for the right support - without being overwhelmed by the legal process.
