We are excited to host our 5th Mock Roadbook Rally. Each one has grown in popularity and we have listened to your feedback. This year we are doing 2-days of 280km-350km of navigational challenges per day. You will have to participate on both days to be eligible for prizes and awards. We have teamed up with Terra Pirata, who has developed a state of the art customizable digital roadbook navigation app to track and score your routes. This will track the participants' Waypoints, Speed Zones, Penalties, and Time. Zacker Adventures will supply Camping for 3 nights, Breakfasts on 3 mornings, Dinner on 2 evenings, and a Shit Ton of Fun!
We will have awards for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places for both ADV and DS routes. Each rider will have to use the Terra Pirata App for Rider Tracking, Waypoint, and Speed Zone verification. The App is FREE for you to use during the event.
Penmerryl Farm will be the central bivouac for this event. Penmerryl Farm has full amenities (private showers and toilets) for the campers, but if you prefer a Lodge Room, contact Penmerryl Farm directly.
This year we will not be holding a "Roadbook Navigation Class". We recommend you watch these 4 YouTube videos to learn how to read a roadbook, or polish up your roadbook reading skills. What is included?
-3 Pre-Rally Roadook Navigation online Q&A sessions. Here are the links and times for each session Sept 3rd @ 7pm-8pm Oct 2nd @ 7pm-8pm or Oct 8th @ 7pm-8pm ***these are not mandatory***
-Options for ADV bikes and Dual-Sport riders, depending on your skill level.
-Mock Rally RoadBook, both digital or hard copies
-Terra Pirata App for digital tracking and time keeping
-Breakfast: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
-Dinner: Friday and Saturday
-Camping at Penmerryl Farm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights
What is required?
-Street legal motorcycle with 190km/120m Fuel range
-Rider safety gear
-YOU DO NOT NEED A ROAD BOOK READER! Just a smart phone or a tablet with GPS tracking. If you want, or have a Roadbook Holder with odometer and a digital compass… that’s great! These items will need to be mounted prior to the event.
-Terra Pirata App Please download prior to arriving. You will need this app to compete for prizes.
-Highlighters and Scotch tape (if you are running a paper roadbook)
-AMA Membership
The cell service is spotty at best in the areas where you will be riding, it is recommended to have a Satellite SOS Tracking device for emergencies.
